Privacy policy

The only form on this site is the consultation inquiry. It asks for your name, email address, phone number, the name of your shop, its city and state, the kind of project, whether it is a new build or a renovation, the square footage, your timeline, your budget range, and whatever notes you add. You choose what to put in it, and nothing on the site asks for payment details or any government identifier.

• Your IP address, when you submit the form. It is used to limit how many inquiries one sender can file in an hour, held for about an hour, and never written to the inquiry record.
• Ordinary analytics as you browse: pages visited, how you arrived, and general device and browser details.
• A replay of how the page was used, which our analytics records. What you type into the inquiry form is masked out of those replays and is not recorded by them.
• Standard server records kept by our host when a page is requested.

To answer your inquiry and talk about your project, to keep track of that conversation, to protect the form from abuse, and to understand which parts of the site are useful. We do not use any of it to make automated decisions about you.

We use a small number of companies to run the site and the inquiry process. They handle your information on our instructions, for us, and not for their own purposes:

• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores inquiries in its database.
• Resend delivers the email notification your inquiry generates, and tells us whether it arrived.
• HighLevel is our CRM. An inquiry becomes a contact and a card there so it does not get lost.
• PostHog provides the analytics described above.

We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone else's safety. Beyond that, nobody else gets it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is no advertising on this site and no advertising network is loaded on it.

The analytics sets cookies in your browser so it can tell one visit from another. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, and the site will still work. We do not use advertising cookies.

Whoever and wherever you are, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@blacklabeldesignco.com and say which you want. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Some states, California and Virginia and Colorado among them, give their residents these rights by statute, along with the right to appeal if we say no. If you are in one of them, say so in your message and we will handle it under your state's rules. You may also have someone make the request for you, in which case we will need to confirm they are acting on your behalf.

Inquiries stay in our database and our CRM so we have a record of the conversation, and we keep them until you ask us to delete them or we no longer have a reason to hold them. The IP address used to throttle the form is kept for about an hour. Analytics is kept for as long as our analytics provider retains it.

The site is served over HTTPS, and the services above hold your information on our behalf under their own security programmes. No website can promise perfect security, and this one does not.

This site is for people running or building a business, and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us something, email info@blacklabeldesignco.com and we will delete it.

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new effective date at the top. Material changes will say what changed.
